Many traders love the freedom of looking at there portfolio whenever they want to, being able to get up to the minute updates on how they are doing. Brokers love online trading because of the quickness that online trading can take place, as opposed to over the phone.
 
Most major brokerages, along with several net only firms offer online trading to there clients.  One thing everyone enjoys about trading online is that commissions and fees tend to be much lower than that of a traditional trade.  Anything that has so many positives must have some drawbacks.
 
If you are an investing novice, you will want to have the ability to speak with a live broker.  If you aren’t well versed in the stock market, online trading may not be for you, yet.  Make sure to learn as much as you possibly can about stock trading before you attempt to trade yourself.
