What Is Painting?
Painting is a creation of pictures and it is a practice of applying color to any of the surface. Painting is a way to represent the type of an art work done by the artists. Paintings can give natural effect such as landscape, life stills and it is also used to represent a photograph. The painting includes the painting in pottery and some of them use this painting work in their ceilings. Painting is the combination of drawing and using different colors on that drawing to make it more beautiful. Paintings can be used in canvas, glass, wood, pots and concretes. The house painting is also one of the types of painting. It is the mode of representing, documenting and expressing all the wide-ranging intelligence of the crafts of craft man and the practitioner. Aesthetic is a type of painting which tries to express the nature art works and it was the great subject in the earlier 18th and 19th centuries. Painting In the View of Philosophers
The philosophers named Kant and Hegel of 18th and 19th century gave more importance for aesthetic paintings and the classical philosopher such as Plato and Aristotle also did research on art works with paintings. Kant gave a great importance to beauty and painting and his concept was accepted by most of the other philosophers. One of the classical philosophers named Plato disregarded the painters as well as sculpture in his period and he says that painting is not a truth and it is a shadow or copy of the nature and he says that art is one of the craft making and it is as similar to the iron casting or shoe making. Painting becomes a closer representation of the nature in the period of Leonardo. Hegel accepted his failure of accomplishing a worldwide idea that painting includes the three romantic arts such as music, poetry and symbolism.
Types of Painting
Painting involves many types such as oil painting, oil sketch, crayon painting, water color painting, acrylic painting and color pencil painting. Oil painting means painting an art work with the combination of oil and colors and it gives the real effect of the nature. Oil sketch is also a type of oil painting but the color used in oil sketch is less in quantity. Water color painting is nothing but the mixing up of colors with water and it is used for painting the landscapes. Acrylic paints can be used directly from the tube or bottles and it can be used for painting craft works and some of the acrylic paints are used for house painting. Color pencils are used for shading the drawing of pencils.
