If you are with someone that always puts you down or insults you then this is a sign that you are in an unhealthy relationship and if talking to the person about the problem yields no results then you should consider whether or not this is a relationship that you wish to remain in.
Another sign that you are in an unhealthy relationship is that the person is very jealous. If they are always demanding to know where you were or what you did all day, this is a sign of jealousy nad can lead to dangerous behaviors. Jealous people will also try to snoop through your cell phone, phone book, or listen to your messages. They may also try to dictate which friends and family members you can associate with. They may try to keep tabs on you and make sure that they know your every move throughout your day. This is a sign that you should pay close attention to and if you can't resolve the issue with the person right away then you should leave the situation before it becomes dangerous.
When you recognize a sign that points to the fact that you may be in an unhealthy relationship you can decide to try to work it out or you can decide to just leave the person. If you decide to try to work things out then make sure that you work on getting yourself in a better position at the same time. This way if it can't be worked out you can leave the situation instead of feeling as if you are trapped in it.
