We always admire the models that we see on television, or on the covers of the magazines. We try to copy them as much as possible. One downside to this situation is that all we see on television and on magazines are skinny women modeling clothes. This has a very huge impact on the women of our society today. We slave and succumb to the pressure to remain thin so we can be model-like as possible. More younger people are now worrying about their bodies and are becoming slaves to the fashion world.

The fashion world has set a standard for what is beautiful. It is very unhealthy and difficult to achieve. Some models are extremely dangerously thin, and they are leading our young girls to believe that this is the perfect body type if they want to wear their clothes or if they want to look and feel pretty. At a very young age, a woman already knows what she wants in life to be successful and she knows how to get it, beauty, fashion and makeup all make up a part of that plan but limits exist.thin model

Most girls equate thinness to beauty. This leads to a lot of psychological and mental disorders leading to eating disorders that are dangerously fatal namely: anorexia and bulimia. Always remember that beauty is only skin deep, and what you have to learn to achieve is to let your inner beauty shine.

I must give my regards to the advertisers who are trying to find a solution to this problem by putting real women in their commercials and ads who the real people can relate to. They don’t have to go to painful lengths just to achieve a very difficult goal of being show is beauty in todaykinny just because the fashion industry dictates so. One more solution the runway producers and designers have done is to set a weight restriction for their models. They cannot be below a certain weight to ensure that they are not too skinny and that they do not look unhealthy.

One more thing manufacturers should think of doing is to create a whole line of clothing that cater to the bigger sizes, as well. It may be really disappointing and downgrading for women to go to a store, find something they like, only to find out that they don’t have it on their size. People should not be slaves to their clothes. The clothes should be the ones adapting to people.

Did you know that these artists and models are not perfect? There are a lot of computer touch ups these days that erase wrinkles, erase some love handles, some stretch marks. They can even smoothen out and whiten the skin. No one is perfect. Accept who you are and know that skinny is not healthy. Health is wealth, and you better take care of it.
