So tired that you can't even feel it? Your mind is so jam-packed that you act like a robot, without thinking? No new ideas coming up? Stuck? Don’t worry. This happens to the best of us. So what do you do? Leave that pen, paper or whatever it is that you are doing. Take a break. Here’s how:

Sit in a calm, quite place. Then close your eyes slowly, feeling the heaviness off your lids. Next, focus on how tight your body is feeling, taut with tension. Start visualising. Think about your wife, your adorable baby, your best friend or even your dog wagging his tail. Can you see the smiling faces and the shining eyes that makes you feel alive?

Or maybe you would like to think about that vacation you took, that song you heard or the sound of raindrops falling on your roof? Picture that marvellous sunrise you saw – in fact, think of anything special which makes you feel calm, relaxed and happy. And before you know it, you’ll have the faint beginnings of a smile on your face, a warmth in your heart and you'll feel that tension evaporating from your body.

Detachment is often necessary to acquire a new perspective. A few minutes down memory lane filled with happy thoughts and recollections can really rejuvenate you and recharge your batteries.
