When Should You Buy Your First Set of Golf Clubs
Date Added: November 28, 2007 04:06:15 AM

It’s the rich man’s sport right? Maybe for some golfers that hire professional trainers, buy the latest top of the line equipment and the trendiest club memberships. Golf is a sport that can be both physically and mentally demanding. So let’s not beat around the bush, for those who are just starting out it may be safer to test the waters before making a big splash investment.
Get a feel for the game and how you like it before spending a lot of money on equipment. You may be better off borrowing a set of golf clubs from a friend, renting them from the clubhouse, or perhaps purchasing a set of second hand clubs.
When the time comes and you find that you are serious about continuing with golf, make sure that you do thorough research on the clubs and how they will relate to your style of play. There are many different types of clubs on the market made from different materials that range from aluminum shafts for beginners to graphite, alloys and titanium for high end equipment.
The equipment made from the high end materials may have the same basic form as that aluminum clubs, but are lighter and transmit more striking power to the head of the club for a much stronger swing. The lightness also aids the golfer in a more consistent form because swinging the club is less tiring.
Don’t buy the clubs prior to testing them out for grip and feel. The sports shop should have an area set aside to take a couple swings with the clubs before purchasing. Sales staff at the shop can assist you in determining the correct shaft length taking into account your build, stance and swing.

When you know how to use bladed clubs they can offer an advantage to the golfer. You just need to know how to strike the ball to control the spin and ball curve. Using bladed clubs takes practice to master and until you do, you may get better results from clubs that are used more commonly.
