The treatment is based on scientific principles and deep research which makes acupuncture an effective treatment. However, you should keep in mind a few cautions before embarking on a treatment.
1. Look for a skilled practitioner
The first thing that you need to do is look for a skilled practitioner. You must keep the following points in mind when you go in for the treatment.
- Is he well recommended
- Is he certified
- Does he take pulses
- Are clean techniques used
- Does he devote ample time
- Is he promising a bit too much
2. Diabetics should avoid
People who are diabetic must avoid this treatment because the tendency of their skin to recover from pricks is pretty low.
3. Pregnant women
Pregnant women are always advised not to go in for a treatment. However treatment can be done if the diagnosis is straightforward and the woman is really unwell.
4. Patients with clotting disorders
People with clotting disorders are not treated through this technique because the needles prick the skin and could prick some blood vessel too.
5. People who bruise easily
If you have a tendency to bruise easily then too you are advised not to go in for this treatment.
6. Fear of needles
If you have a fear of needles then too you must not go in for the treatment as the treatment is all about tiny needle pricks!
If you fall in any of the above-mentioned categories, then you should think before you go in for acupuncture.
