The PHP Link Directory just announced that the Authority Directory was awarded the Site of the Month for January 2008.  With the popularity of the directory script offered by the PHP Link Directory the contest draws many quality directory entries which makes it a tough competition.

Every month they choose from among the entries to find the one they feel best represents directories based on the following criteria:

• Site design
• Integration of additional and innovative features
• Quality content
• Contributions to the phpLD directory community

All of us at the Authority Directory would like to thank them for the hard work in judging the entries.  It had to be a difficult choice with the level of competition.

Last September the iGuides Webmasters forum announced their sponsorship of a contest for the Best Directory of the Year for 2007.  Due to the popularity of the iGuides forum the contest quickly drew interest and entries from the top directory owners.

The directory owners and forum community have been anxiously awaiting an announcement which was delayed due to the holidays and the level of competition.  The contest was tight and the decision was a tough one, but the winners were announced today and here are the top three directories for 2007.
