Using Twitter has to be one of the easiest and best ways to keep up to date on on friends and family, as well as keep them up to date on you. Using Twitter is like micro blogging, by writing short messages known as “tweets” you simultaneously send the same message to all those people you follow you on Twitter. In kind, you will see the “tweets” of all those that you follow.
What could be easier than writing a few words on the internet or through your mobile phone and letting those in you life know what your up to, or just know that you’re doing fine. People of all age ranges use Twitter, talk about a new way of knowing what your kids are up to. In a technology age, this is a great form of communicating in a fast and effective way.
Twitter is simple, yet effective. Having a busy lifestyle no longer has to keep you from knowing what’s going on with those around you. Business associates can instantly know when you’re running late, while at the same time your wife knows you are out of shaving foam. It’s multitasking in communication.
Besides being wildly popular among the general public Twitter is used by many high profile people, from celebrity figures like P’Diddy and Ellen DeGeneres to political figures such as Barack Obama and the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs David Saranga. This kind of use means that you can not only stay connected with those in your life, but also stay connected minute by minute to current affairs. If you’ve ever wondered what your favorite politicians really think about what’s going on in the world, now you can.
This kind of messaging service is great for keeping in touch, but it is also wonderful for things such as event planning. Being able to communicate with everyone on your team at once and get immediate feedback will not only help make planning more effective but also make plans come together more quickly and smoothly. Keeping apprised of what is happening has never been easier.
If you don’t use Twitter already it will change the way you think about keeping in touch with the people in you life. Instantly know what your friends and family are up to and just as quickly let them know what you’re doing too. Know what your kids are doing through out the day without having to be an “intrusive” parent. Let your own mom know you loved the chicken soup, and let your wife know you’re on your way home. All with a few key strokes, from the car, the comfort of your couch, your computer chair at work, anywhere, anytime.
